Happy Mystery Monday! I had fun shopping at a garden center today and bought a jasmine topiary and banana tree. It smells quite fragrant in here now. As for our winners, Jomo and Anand figured out that last week's shrub was the sapphireberry (Symplocos paniculata). Congrats!
Your clues for this week:
- This shrub resembles a familiar herb, inspiring part of its common name. They aren't related, though, as one is in the Lamiaceae family and the other in the Ericaceae.
- It is the only plant in its genus and comes from the Northern Hemisphere.
- As the other part of the common name suggests, this shrub is found in marshy areas.
Good luck!
